Existem ainda duas estratégias de risco não abordadas por você no PodCast mas que são importantes no gerenciamento de risco:
1 – Riscos negativos – Transferir o risco. Ex: contratar seguro para o projeto;
2 – Riscos positivos – Partilhar a oportunidade. Ex: Fazer uma Joint Venture para explorar um novo negócio.

Perfeita sua colocação. No entanto eu preferi nesse caso considerar a transferência como uma forma de mitigação. Na verdade o ato de tranferir o risco através de um seguro (exemplo) é uma forma de mitigar o impacto. A mesma coisa com o partilhar a oportunidade. Ele é uma forma de melhorar o resultado.
Em resumo, estamos absolutamente na mesma página. Eu somente resolvi falar 3 para simplificar o conceito, no entanto seu detalhamento foi ótimo e super pertinente.
