Netherlands from the PMI Global Congress 2009.

A great experience, great opportunity for knowledge sharing, about 600 people here, 50 different countries. It's a great mix of all fields, all kinds of industries and the people together, trying to share knowledge and discussed the major topics. And I was taking a look in all the papers and from above 75 papers, some Topics raised my attention.

One is the presence of this Agile model for project management and several papers approaching. This is how we can make project management in a lean way. Extremely interesting. I saw a lot of interest coming from the people from the ad. The second thing that I saw, and I notice it's the value of project management during this really tough times, it's really important to understand the real value of product management and the bros that management can leverage the business to a new standard and to Brazilians.

And we need to mention that Matt got at You from Brasilia, the Brazilian capital. We should be present at the paper about the portfolio manager, the set of skills that makes a portfolio manager and also, and the rest Shama has a very good friend and his paper was extremely interesting. 10 ways of sink your project. And I was thinking about this top, maybe it's really easy to sing the project.

And I told, I told him, I think that, that I should now publish another paper that how we can leverage and recover our projects. And this will be a very hard task, is much easier to sync, but of course he did this paper and the opposite meaning. So it's only to highlight how the things go wrong in an excellent in his mic and brilliant speaker. And also I saw many, many things about soft skills politics.

My friend at Folsom will set up from Spain. He presented one paper about politics in project management. So how this it's really interesting because if I returned back my first Sachen, Congress a lot of focus on the technical side. Now I see a lot of thoughts and a lot of interests and the soft skill Agile Lin and Valley different things. And also as saw one very interesting paper about soft skills for the tough times and tough times, maybe the word tough was maybe the most spoken word here at the Congress because we are facing all this crisis and, and how we can leverage the Valley of bros at management.

We kind of skill which set of skills we need to have to deal during this extremely hard times to avoid panic and to build a bridge for the success, everything. And what really, really matters is the sexist. So how are we can leverage this and this paperwork as presented by Thomas and Terry Cook, Dave sterry, it's a very, very popular and very famous on project management field.

I also and saw the paper from my friend from Portugal. about finance In projects, and this is mostly nowadays very, very challenging topic it's with all this volatility and how we can Butte a real thing inside of our projects, how we can build an oil platform, a bridge, a building, and a software without good, extremely good understanding of what is going on with more money.

And it's very hard. And I know many, many project managers struggling with this financial aspect. So it's great to have the opportunity of being this kind of paper bought online for me it's during the day I was thinking about why I'm here and, and why do I value all this initiatives? And I remember my first time in 1998, since that time 28 Congress EMEA to any eight, PMI congresses all over the world.

So it's amazing to see how the things change and to see how the interest, the people's interest changes over the time. Now much more concerned about global aspects, how we can set up portfolio, how can we be quick, agile, how we can deliver business results, how it can Valley and how we can take an opportunity to bring value to our companies in leverage this companies to a new standard.

It's a completely brain wash. It's a completely new opportunity to brainwash in an extremely good way to reframe our thoughts and think ahead, it's opportunity to talk to people from Nigeria to China, from U S to South Africa. It's a really, really am very proud of having the opportunity of being at this Congress So see you next So the week, or if a, not a five minutes.
