Speaker 1 (4s): Hello everybody welcome to the five minutes BM podcast today. I like to share with you one thing that I'm at some of my mind for several months, and now I just want to put this as an idea for us to think it's the Project Management as a Life Skill because a lot of people send me an emails telling, Oh, look, I'm thinking about doing an MBA in project management, or do my certification or study more about project management, but not necessarily, I'm not looking for a job in project management.

I'm not looking to work as a project manager. I'm looking just, we understand. So it's very important to understand that pretty much, most of the concepts around project management are Life Skill concepts. Let me give you some examples. Let's suppose I'm time a lawyer. So every single case, every single customer I can approach then use in project management, I can prepare a WBS, a work breakdown structure with the case, with the big packages.

And then I create the work packages. I can assign these work packages to a specific lawyers, with a specific knowledge. I can put all of this together and set up a plan and a strategy to help me on that case for my customer. So I can budget. I can use this as far as a budget. Look, I'm talking about a lawyer. If I'm a doctor, I can do pretty much the same. I can use this concept on my research.

I can do risk management for my patient. I can do a basic look to treat this patient because the patient for me is a Project. It's a start on going work and a finish that. And the finishes when this patient is ready, returning back home with pals, with kind of tasks, do I need to do which kind of risks do I run under this project? So look, the concept it's much more on the Versal that only applies to project management.

And this is fascinating. This is one of the reasons why I like most product management, because we can apply. This is going to take a sabbatical end to do nothing and to say, look then the next two years, I want to do nothing. Okay. You can plan your nothing to do. You can think, okay, at first I'll be starting doing nothing in Bali, in Indonesia, surfing. Then I will go doing nothing in London, then I'm planning. So look, everything requires money.

Pretty much everything requires time everything's is on the line and by risk. So this is a life skill ability. So if you were studying project management, if you were applying for a PMP credential or something like that, I don't think that you were your time to study these because you don't have plants to do to work in the project management because you will be working in project management. Even the, if you are a teacher, even if you are a lawyer or a Baker, because every single business in every single job, of course in different levels has a specific approach around project management, everything that you have a timeline, everything that you need, it's basic project management.

So you need to understand this. And if you want understand this, you can leverage your career despite of what you were doing. So think about this business on my mind, four, a lot of time. And I'm thinking about how we can show project management as the last technical thing, but a much more Life Skill Life mathematics. Imagine, you know, and who, okay. I created mathematics let's suppose that I was this genius guy that create this concept of mathematics.

And this was created just by one person. So, okay. I'm creating this just for engineers. I'm creating mathematics is just for accounting people. No, this is not true. Mathematics underlying pretty much all human knowledge. So project management, of course, I'm not comparing yet project management with mathematics, but project management can not help out in the same way. I can be something on the backstage of everything. You do lack a great tool for you to accomplish and receive your results.

So think about this when you were talking to people that are on this situation about moving forward or not, Management remember Project Management is and extremely or a full life Skill regardless of what you do think about that.
