I understand a valiant effort was made to recognize EVM in the section on Procurement as well, in the recent 4th Edition of the PMBOK. Logically, EVM can and does impact contract development and administration in a very direct and tangible way. It didn't make it in this Edition, but maybe next.

Very interesting and simple way to learn about the diference about procurement management at PMBOK 4th ed. All of the changes that PMI do in PMBOK 4th ed. are very importante in terms of comprehensiveness and simplifications of processes. Thanks.
